Stop Searching for Love in All the Wrong Places for Love Has Been Found (Gospel Light Minute X #387)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #387 titled, “Stop Searching for Love in All the Wrong Places for Love Has Been Found” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Psychologists have long known that every person has two great longings and inward needs. The first is to be loved, and the second is to love. But when pressures and heartaches come into our lives, many give up any hope of ever finding love.

The tragedy is that we often look in the wrong places to fill this deep need and longing. Some substitute lust for love. Others pursue material things or superficial relationships—all in the futile attempt to fill a God-shaped vacuum in the human heart. But there is good news! There is a love worth finding and a love worth sharing. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. On the cross of Christ, God’s mighty love was revealed and offered unconditionally to all who would be saved.

Do you long to know this mighty love? Then I need to ask you the most important question you’ll ever be asked: Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves you, that your sins are forgiven, and that you are saved and on your way to Heaven? You May be a Faithful Member of a Church, But on Your Way to Hell (Gospel Light Minute X #384 with Daniel Whyte III)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #384 titled, “You May be a Faithful Member of a Church, But on Your Way to Hell.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

How clear and concise: there should be neither confusion nor contradiction. There are many names under Heaven in which we can find religion; but salvation can be found in One only. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned…” So, all need a Saviour; Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” At Calvary, Jesus paid sin’s awful penalty for all who accept Him; but His death there was not to give men a religion; it was to provide Salvation through redemption.

There is no salvation in priests, penance or prayers; but only in Jesus Christ. Service and sacraments, churches and charities, tears and treasures, ritual and reformation — ALL are alike, helpless to save.

Men are willing to give assent in their heads to the claims of Christianity while refusing to accept in their hearts the Christ of Christianity, Jesus.

Men are willing to take the high place in the work and rituals of the church while refusing to take the low place of guilty sinners needing a sinner’s Saviour, Jesus.

Men are willing to believe in the moral precepts of God’s Word, as based on the Ten Commandments while refusing to believe in, rest on, and receive God’s Son, Jesus Christ, as Saviour of their souls, because of His finished work in their behalf at Calvary. Which Way Will You Go With Jesus? (Gospel Light Minute X #363)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #363 titled, “Which Way Will You Go With Jesus?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

WHAT DID PEOPLE SAY ABOUT JESUS?

“Kill Him!” said King Herod when he heard that Jesus was born.

“My eyes have seen Your Salvation which You have prepared in the sight of all people,” Simeon said to God when he held the Baby Jesus.

“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” said the blind man.

“You healed someone on the Sabbath!” accused the religious leaders.

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” said Peter and the disciples.

“Crucify Him!” said the religious leaders.

“Take Him away and do what you want,” said Pilate to the religious leaders.

“Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom,” said the thief who hung on the cross next to Jesus.

“Master!” said Mary on Easter Sunday as Jesus met her by the empty tomb.

“Unless I see the nail marks in His hand, I won’t believe He rose from the dead,” said the disciple Thomas.

“My Lord and my God!” said Thomas, a week later as Jesus stood in front of him. Continue reading “Which Way Will You Go With Jesus? (Gospel Light Minute X #363)”

God Loves You — He Really Does (Gospel Light Minute X #357)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #357 titled, “God Loves You–He Really Does.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

The Holy Bible says, “God is love.” Please do not resent us for sharing the Gospel with you. We love your soul, and we want to tell you that if you have never been born again, you are on your journey to a place where you will burn forever and ever.

You see, the human race began when God created the first man, Adam. Adam was created sinless, yet he was also created with the ability to choose whether he would accept or reject God’s rule. God commanded Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in that day that he ate from the tree, he would die. The Bible says in Genesis 2:16-17, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Adam disobeyed God’s commandment and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and on that day, he died spiritually. The Bible says in Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” The Bible states here that because Adam sinned, all people are born with the nature of sin. If you have never been born again, you are spiritually dead toward God, just like Adam. If you continue in this condition until death takes you from this world, you will be eternally condemned to the lake of fire. The Bible says in Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Continue reading “God Loves You — He Really Does (Gospel Light Minute X #357)”

The Story of the Wordless Book (Gospel Light Minute X #356)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #356 titled, “The Story of the Wordless Book.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Dr. Baedecker, who for many years lived in England, obtained, through a Russian Princess, permission from the government of Russia, to visit all prisons and penitentiaries in the Russian empire, to give Bibles and Testaments to the prisoners. An interesting incident has been told of a visit in a Siberian penitentiary where an official conducted the Doctor in his visit and said: “We have at present a murderer in our charge”

‘Have I seen him?” the Doctor asked.

“No, he is in solitary confinement,” the official replied.

“Take me to his cell, please,” the Doctor said.

Preceded by wardens, the Doctor stumbled down the stone steps, into a dark basement, and in a gloomy dungeon the object of their search was discovered. Dr. Baedecker offered the man a New Testament, but pitifully he said, “I cannot read, thank you.” Continue reading “The Story of the Wordless Book (Gospel Light Minute X #356)”

You’re Cordially Invited to Heaven R.S.V.P. (Gospel Light Minute X #355)

Who is the One and Only Jesus? (Gospel Light Minute X #353)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #353 titled, “Who is the One and Only Jesus?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Many men have been given the name “Jesus.” In Bible times, the naming of children was more serious than today. Today, parents name their child after a loved one or friend, or perhaps a name they think is pretty. In Bible times, children were given names which related to certain things, especially those in references to God. The Apostle Paul warned in 2 Corinthians 11:4 about the possibility of another Jesus being preached. We desire to present unto you the Jesus of the Bible. No person except Jesus Christ could fulfill the meaning of the name “Jesus,” because of Who and What He is. Continue reading “Who is the One and Only Jesus? (Gospel Light Minute X #353)”

Don’t Be Surprised (Gospel Light Minute X #350)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #350 titled, “Don’t Be Surprised.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

We get surprised when things come upon us unexpectedly. Many things that occur in our lives come without warning. Sometimes things like sickness, bills and family crises just cannot be anticipated. Even our own death can come by surprise. What comes after death, however, is something that does not need to be a surprise for anyone. It is not God’s desire that you be surprised after you die. He tells us in the Bible that every one of us will live somewhere forever. To be prepared for life after death, we must first examine what we believe about this matter in the light of God’s Word.
