Are You Ready for a Change? (Gospel Light Minute X #390)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #390 titled, “Are You Ready for a Change?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Fueled by unfulfilled promises, unrealized hopes, and increasing difficulties, “It’s time for a change” has become a common theme with both politicians and the general public.

THERE HAVE BEEN CHANGES IN THE PAST

Within the recent past, changes have occurred with surprising suddenness. Governments once thought to be stable have been toppled. Financial institutions have failed. Once-successful businesses have collapsed. Even more significantly, the moral fabric of society has been shattered by turning away from God and the principles of His Word, the Bible. The “do what feels good” mentality—casting off restraint and rejecting authority—has broken up families and ruined lives. This is nothing but lawlessness, the essence of sin, which has brought the disillusion, disease, death, and destruction we see all around us. Continue reading “Are You Ready for a Change? Stop Searching for Love in All the Wrong Places for Love Has Been Found (Gospel Light Minute X #387)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #387 titled, “Stop Searching for Love in All the Wrong Places for Love Has Been Found” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Psychologists have long known that every person has two great longings and inward needs. The first is to be loved, and the second is to love. But when pressures and heartaches come into our lives, many give up any hope of ever finding love.

The tragedy is that we often look in the wrong places to fill this deep need and longing. Some substitute lust for love. Others pursue material things or superficial relationships—all in the futile attempt to fill a God-shaped vacuum in the human heart. But there is good news! There is a love worth finding and a love worth sharing. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. On the cross of Christ, God’s mighty love was revealed and offered unconditionally to all who would be saved.

Do you long to know this mighty love? Then I need to ask you the most important question you’ll ever be asked: Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves you, that your sins are forgiven, and that you are saved and on your way to Heaven? If No One Else Cares for You, God Does (Gospel Light Minute X #359)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #359 titled, “If No One Else Cares for You, God Does.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Some time ago someone placed this ad in a Kansas newspaper:

“I will listen to you talk for 30 minutes without comment for $5.00. “

Sounds like a joke, doesn’t it? But the person was serious. Did anybody call? You bet. It wasn’t long before this individual was receiving ten to twenty calls a day. The piercing pain of loneliness was so sharp that some were willing to try anything for a half hour of companionship.  Continue reading “If No One Else Cares for You, God Does (Gospel Light Minute X #359)”

Let Me Tell You About the Stars and Stripes (Gospel Light Minute X #351)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #351 titled, “Let Me Tell You About the Stars and Stripes.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

“Tell us something about the Stars and Stripes!”

The young man thus addressed was preaching the Gospel in the public square of an American city, and the remark quoted was that made by a scoffer who had just left the hotel on the opposite side of the square.

It is often the case that an interruption at an open air meeting only serves to increase the number of listeners. It was so in this instance, and as the crowd quickly gathered around, the preacher stopped.

Facing the scoffer, he said: “Tell you something about the Stars and Stripes? I will, and with pleasure, for we read about the Stars and Stripes in the Bible. Continue reading “Let Me Tell You About the Stars and Stripes (Gospel Light Minute X #351)”

Allow Me to Pull an Andrew On You (Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign #13)

JJMessage

Today, I am continuing the daily Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign sermon series, which is aimed at sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with unbelievers and reminding Christians, in this important election year, to keep the main thing the main thing — and that is reaching unbelievers with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and praying for their salvation, for the problem in America is not only disobedient presidents and politicians but disobedient pastors, preachers, and parishioners who have refused to obey God’s Great Commission and who have refused to obey God’s repeated commands to pray without ceasing for unbelievers, believers, and political leaders. This campaign is inspired by 1 Corinthians 2:2: “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” As well as Acts 5:42 which says, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” This is message number 13.

John 1:40-42:

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Greg Laurie said, “To not share the Gospel is criminal. To not bring the Gospel message to others can even be a sin – a sin of omission. It would be like finding the cure for cancer but not sharing it with others. We have something even more significant than a cure for cancer. We have the cure to sin, and guilt and the cure for hell and the hope for heaven. How much more urgently do we need to get this message out?” Continue reading “Allow Me to Pull an Andrew On You (Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign #13)”
