The Only Path to Peace and Paradise (Gospel Light Minute X #398)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #398 titled, “The Only Path to Peace and Paradise.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16

John 3:16 is often called “The Gospel Text,” for here we have the whole Gospel briefly stated. We see the source of salvation—the love of God; the channel through which salvation comes—His only begotten Son; and the way by which we receive it—faith in His Son.

Perhaps you will say, “Oh, I have read that verse a thousand times.” Even if you have, have you ever really believed it—that is, by faith made yourself one of the “whosoevers” by trusting in Christ, and thereby received everlasting life?

A Christian friend told me how he was converted through this verse. He took it, read it word by word, believing as he read, applied it to himself, trusted the Son, and received everlasting life. Multitudes of other searching souls have done the same. Have you? If not, may the Lord help you to do so now.

Just let us look at this wonderful verse, a word or two at a time, always remembering that this is God’s Word, and God means what He says. Continue reading “The Only Path to Peace and Paradise (Gospel Light Minute X #398)”

How to be Saved According to Barry the Saint (Gospel Light Minute X #382)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #382 titled, “How to be Saved According to Barry the Saint” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

DOGS CAN DO REMARKABLE THINGS!

One breed in particular, the St. Bernard, is known for saving lives. In the rugged, snow-covered mountains of the Alps, St. Bernards were ideal for rescue work because they could clear paths, predict incoming avalanches, and detect injured people buried beneath the snow. Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven? (Gospel Light Minute X #366)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #366 titled, “Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

There is a lot of confusion about the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. Many people believe that they must follow the Law so that they can go to Heaven, but the Bible does not say that!

God’s Book, the Bible, states in 1 Timothy 1:8, “But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;” The Ten Commandments are good if you use them the right way, but some people use them the wrong way. God never intended for us to keep them in an effort to go to Heaven. So why were the Ten Commandments given? Continue reading “Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven? 3 Gifts God Gave to Us Through Jesus Christ

birth-of-Christ

James 1:17-18

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

3 Gifts God Gave Through Jesus Christ

Whenever we think of Christmas, we think about the gift God gave us — the Lord Jesus Christ. But what we often don’t think of are the many gifts that we are given through the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. This expression might be a little too glib, but He is truly a Gift that keeps on giving. Continue reading “3 Gifts God Gave to Us Through Jesus Christ”

GLMX #229: A Gift You Will Never Want to Return

gift-to-give

This past week, the world celebrated the Christmas holiday. As part of the festivities, millions of people gave and received Christmas gifts. As has become customary, many of those who received gifts showed up at a store on the day after Christmas to return their gift in exchange for something else that they really wanted.

Those who liked the gifts they received will still have to deal with maintaining those gifts in order to keep them in good condition. However, eventually, a shiny new gift will one day become worn out and not so shiny or new.

What if I told you that there is a gift that you can receive that you would never consider wanting to return? What if I told you that there is a gift that you can receive that would not just make you excited and happy for a few moments, but would give you permanent peace and joy as you go through this life? What if I told you that there is a gift that you can receive that will be of more benefit and blessing to your life as you enter the New Year than anything you could possibly imagine? What if I told you that this is a gift that will never grow old, that will never decay, and that will never fall into disrepair or disuse? And, perhaps best of all, what if I told you that this gift is absolutely free and that it is being offered to you right now? Continue reading “GLMX #229: A Gift You Will Never Want to Return”
