How to Get Your Greatest Need in Life Met Today (Gospel Light Minute X #397)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #397 titled, “How to Get Your Greatest Need in Life Met Today.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

MAN’S GREATEST NEED

Sin has separated man from God. To be separated from God at death means to spend eternity in Hell, because God will not excuse sin, and sin must be punished. Man is sinful, but God is holy. The Blood of Jesus Christ is God’s way of meeting man’s greatest need.

GOD’S GREATEST SACRIFICE

God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross as the payment for your sins: Romans 3:25 says, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood…” Notice that it was God’s plan, not man’s: “Whom God hath sent forth…” Secondly, notice that Christ died to pay for our sins: “…to be a propitiation…” Finally, this verse states that forgiveness is obtained simply by trusting what Jesus has done: “…through faith in his blood…” Because of the Blood, God can show mercy to sinners, yet still remain holy and just. “…that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” Continue reading “How to Get Your Greatest Need in Life Met Today (Gospel Light Minute X #397)”

How a Key Principle of Karate Helps You Understand Getting Your Soul Saved From Hell Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute X #389)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #389 titled, “How a Key Principle of Karate Helps You Understand Getting Your Soul Saved From Hell Through Jesus Christ.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Most people are familiar with Karate, a martial arts form of self-defense. Its origin dates back many centuries ago, when Chinese monks developed Kung Fu. In the 1600s, this system of self-defense was imported to the tiny island nation of Okinawa. Under the dominion of the Japanese Samurai, all weapons were banned to keep the people of Okinawa in subjection. For protection from their oppressors, the native people learned to use their farm tools as weapons, and over time perfected Chinese boxing into its present form we know as Karate.

The creed of all true Karate practitioners is this: I come to you with only karate, empty hands. I have no weapons, but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles, or my honor, be it a matter of life or death, right or wrong, then here are my weapons, karate, my empty hands.

This  reminds me of the way of salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You see, the word “karate” literally means ‘empty hands’. The way of Karate (Karate-do[doe]) is the way for salvation. Are You Drinking Yet Still Thirsty For More? (Gospel Light Minute X #386)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #386 titled, “Are You Drinking Yet Still Thirsty For More?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

ARE YOU THIRSTY?
Have you ever been so thirsty that you can’t imagine going one more second without something to quench your thirst? All that you can think about is finding even one sip of cold, refreshing water. Our bodies crave water. In fact, the human body can only survive a few days without it.

How about your soul—is it thirsty? Do you feel that something is missing in your life? Maybe you’ve tried to fill the void by staying busy with work or friends. Perhaps you’ve sought satisfaction in buying new things. Some even try to quench their inner thirst with relationships, parties, alcohol, or drugs. How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute X #385)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #385 titled, “How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE SAVIOUR
My friend, are you saved? Saved is a Bible word, not a term thought up by man. I have been a Christian for almost twenty years, and I find that most people still do not have an understanding of God’s message of salvation.

First, you must believe there is one true God. Secondly, you must believe that God can do something for you, and He has recorded His plan of redemption in the Bible. The only God that can save souls is the God of the Bible. His Name is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

A person is saved by putting their complete trust in Jesus Christ, not by doing something to earn Heaven. Trusting is believing. Believing must come from the heart, not the head. Do you love and trust your spouse with your head or with your heart?

Plato, Aristotle, or Einstein could only think as far as their finite minds were able. They could not even solve the problems of this life, such as sickness, disease, pain, hunger, and death, let alone know anything about eternity. God knew we needed something to go by, so He put everything there is to know in His Bible. Continue reading “How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute X #385)”

How to be Saved According to Barry the Saint (Gospel Light Minute X #382)

DOGS CAN DO REMARKABLE THINGS!

One breed in particular, the St. Bernard, is known for saving lives. In the rugged, snow-covered mountains of the Alps, St. Bernards were ideal for rescue work because they could clear paths, predict incoming avalanches, and detect injured people buried beneath the snow. Jesus Knows All About Your Troubles and Problems, So Come to Him Today (Gospel Light Minute X #374)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #374 titled, “Jesus Knows All About Your Troubles and Problems, So Come to Him Today” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

LIFE IS HARD. Jesus knows that. He is God’s Son and He left heaven to rescue you. As a man He endured all the hardships common to humanity. Although He never sinned, He endured pain, loneliness, rejection and death. At the end of His ministry, He offered Himself as a sacrifice and died on the cross to atone, once and for all, for the sins of humanity. God raised Him from the grave and Jesus now reigns in Heaven. He is alive. And He cares for you. Continue reading “Jesus Knows All About Your Troubles and Problems, So Come to Him Today (Gospel Light Minute X #374)”

How Can You Know for Sure You’re Going to Heaven? (Gospel Light Minute X #373)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #373 titled, “How Can You Know for Sure You’re Going to Heaven?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

A recent poll indicated that for every American who believes he or she is going to hell, there are 120 who believe they’re going to Heaven.

This optimism stands in stark contrast to Jesus Christ’s words written in the Bible in Matthew 7:13–14: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The truth is that according to the Bible we don’t automatically go to Heaven. In fact, Hell—not Heaven—is our default destination. Unless our sin problem is solved once and for all, we can’t enter Heaven. That’s the bad news.

But once that’s straight in our minds we’re ready to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Jesus took upon Himself, on the cross, the Hell we deserve so that we could experience for eternity the Heaven we don’t deserve!  Continue reading “How Can You Know for Sure You’re Going to Heaven? Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven? (Gospel Light Minute X #366)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #366 titled, “Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

There is a lot of confusion about the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. Many people believe that they must follow the Law so that they can go to Heaven, but the Bible does not say that!

God’s Book, the Bible, states in 1 Timothy 1:8, “But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;” The Ten Commandments are good if you use them the right way, but some people use them the wrong way. God never intended for us to keep them in an effort to go to Heaven. So why were the Ten Commandments given? Continue reading “Do You Need to Obey The Ten Commandments to Go To Heaven? How to Quench Your Thirst in Life (Gospel Light Minute X #360)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #360 titled, “How to Quench Your Thirst in Life.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

Happiness, contentment, and peace of mind are the most longed-for and sought after things in all the world, and few there are who ever really find them. All around us people are searching madly for these precious treasures without success. Psychiatrists tell us that an ever-increasing number of people are aware of an inner emptiness in their lives. Their problems — personal and social — seem to increase faster than solutions can be found to solve them.

Is this all simply evidence of the emptiness of those who try to live without God? Man’s struggle for wealth, fame, and pleasure will not bring him the contentment and happiness that he yearns for. Yet, with a restlessness that is pitiful to see, people are searching from one thing to another, always hoping to find rest and satisfaction in some future accomplishment or possession. Seeking Forgiveness, Giving Forgiveness, and Repentance, Part 1 (Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign, Day 504 since Jan. 20, 2017 / Day 871 since Jan. 1, 2016)

TEXT: Matthew 6:14-15

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

—–

Henry Ward Beecher said, “Every man should have a fair-sized cemetery in which to bury the faults of his friends.”

Over the past few years, I have preached on this particular aspect of forgiveness — that we ought to forgive others if we want to be forgiven by God — at least three time sin the past few short years. People are often encouraged to forgive others, to “let it go,” as a way of freeing themselves from the burden of animosity, bitterness, and resentment toward others. But, as we look around at our society today, it seems that many are not getting the message.

——-

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!
