Take Advantage of God’s Grace Because His Wrath is Coming (Gospel Light Minute X #393)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #393 titled, “Take Advantage of God’s Grace Because His Wrath is Coming” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

You need salvation because of your sin. The Bible says in Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” You are not only a sinner by birth through Adam, but also by your choice. Romans 3:10-12 says, “…There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

As a sinner, you are without God and without hope. Sin brings death and eternal separation from God. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…” The Bible says in Revelation 20:14-15, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Jesus Christ told the story of a rich man who was cast into hell after he died. This rich man is still in hell this very moment, almost two thousand years after Jesus spoke of him. In ten years, this man will still be in hell. A thousand years from now, he will still be in the burning pit of unquenchable fire. He is damned for all eternity. As a sinner, you will share the same fate, unless you accept God’s gift of grace. How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute X #385)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #385 titled, “How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE SAVIOUR
My friend, are you saved? Saved is a Bible word, not a term thought up by man. I have been a Christian for almost twenty years, and I find that most people still do not have an understanding of God’s message of salvation.

First, you must believe there is one true God. Secondly, you must believe that God can do something for you, and He has recorded His plan of redemption in the Bible. The only God that can save souls is the God of the Bible. His Name is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

A person is saved by putting their complete trust in Jesus Christ, not by doing something to earn Heaven. Trusting is believing. Believing must come from the heart, not the head. Do you love and trust your spouse with your head or with your heart?

Plato, Aristotle, or Einstein could only think as far as their finite minds were able. They could not even solve the problems of this life, such as sickness, disease, pain, hunger, and death, let alone know anything about eternity. God knew we needed something to go by, so He put everything there is to know in His Bible. Continue reading “How to Understand Salvation Through Jesus Christ (Gospel Light Minute X #385)”

Where Do You Think You Are Going? (Gospel Light Minute X #372)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #372 titled, “Where Do You Think You Are Going?” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

If you’re like me, there’s nothing better after a busy day than settling into a favorite chair and just sitting still. But did you know that even while sitting still, we are still traveling thousands of miles per hour? Because of the earth’s rotation and its movement within the solar system and galaxy, we are hurtling through space at unimaginable speeds.

It’s amazing that we can be moving at such a high rate of speed and not be aware of it. But, in the same way, there are many people today who are speeding through life unaffected by how quickly they are approaching eternity.

Though we are all traveling through time and space together, there are different destinies in eternity. Where will you spend eternity—in Heaven or in Hell? Just think of being in an everlasting place of perfect happiness, or in a never-ending place of pure woe. You will be in one of these forever. Continue reading “Where Do You Think You Are Going? Caught, Condemned, and Cleared All in the Same Day

100 Days of Preaching the Gospel #78 | with Daniel Whyte III

SCRIPTURE: John 8:1-11: “Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

The story of the woman caught in adultery is a very familiar story to most of us. Normally, however, when we look at this story we focus on the woman’s self-righteous accusers and their hypocrisy. Today, I will not be focusing on this story from that persepctive. Rather, I want us to focus on the woman and the beautiful message of salvation that this story holds for each of us.

1. First of all, I want you to notice that the woman was caught in her sin.

2. Secondly, notice that this woman was condemned by the law.

3. Thirdly, this woman is cleared by the Saviour.
