No Matter How Bad Your Situation Is, Just Come to Jesus (Gospel Light Minute X #369)

This is the “chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #369 titled, “No Matter How Bad Your Situation Is, Just Come to Jesus.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

COME: A message to you from Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ says: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light..”

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden . . .”

That’s you. Whether you’re a millionaire or deep in debt, you are carrying a load of sin. You can come to God in such a condition. Jesus Christ welcomes you. He will cleanse you and make you presentable to His Father, God.

“I will give you rest . . .”

Jesus is telling you where to find peace–and it is found only in a personal relationship with Him.

“Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me . . .”

Yes, there is a yoke. No one is free. Everyone is in slavery either to the world or to Jesus. To follow the world will bring you to destruction, but to obey Jesus brings you peace and joy both now and forever. You can learn about Him by reading the Gospel of John or Mark in the Bible.

“I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls . . . “

When you take Jesus’ yoke upon you, He will help you become more like Him: gentle, patient, humble, loving and joyful.

“My yoke is easy, and my burden is light. . .”

Linking your life with Jesus puts you in harmony with the purpose of your creation. In time, you will discover that doing the will of God fills you with joy unmatched by any pleasure the world can offer.

Come! Jesus offers to cleanse you from all sin.

The Bible says in Isaiah 1:18, ‘Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Come! God offers relief from your struggles.

The Bible says in Revelation 22:17, ” . . .And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

What an invitation! Please respond! Refusal is an insult to God Who provided the way of salvation at the price of the life of His only Son, Jesus Christ. Do not put it off!

If you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer: Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to repent of my sins past. Help me to turn from my old, evil life and follow You in the new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
